Coastal Management Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Staff Psychiatrist to support the VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a full-time, on-site position with an immediate need.

Position Summary

The Staff Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for veteran patients in an integrated healthcare setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mental health services while supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs’ mission of providing exceptional care to our nation’s veterans.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
• Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state, territory, commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
• Hold an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
• Be eligible to work in the United States and meet all applicable federal employment requirements.
• Meet all credentialing and privileging requirements established by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as appropriate.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with VA policies and standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide patient-centered care that promotes recovery, wellness, and quality of life.
